  • • To participate in the showcase, drop-in skaters must have attended at least 2 prior camp days.
  • • Trial Day: if you enroll in the full program within 48 hours, your $30 is credited toward tuition.

8-Week Curriculum

Built for true beginners, with progressions for returning kids.

Week 1 — Safety + Skate Setup

  • Mon: Safety rules, how to fall safely, stance, marching steps, controlled roll
  • Wed: Stride basics (push + glide), posture, looking forward, stopping intro (toe stop)
  • Fri: Confidence games + cone pathways, freeze stop game, mini-showcase intro

Week 2 — Speed Control + Stops

  • Mon: Toe stop control + slow down tools (bubbles/scissors), safe start/stop practice
  • Wed: Plow stop intro, speed control drills, endurance intervals (short + fun)
  • Fri: Obstacle course (speed control), team relays, rhythm combo #1 (8-count)

Week 3 — Balance + Turns

  • Mon: One-foot balance prep, edges awareness, turning with step turns
  • Wed: Slalom/cone weaving, balance stations, strength circuit (core/legs)
  • Fri: Turning games (follow-the-leader), cone king/queen, rhythm combo #2

Week 4 — Crossovers + Stronger Control

  • Mon: Stronger stride + glide, turn technique refinement, crossover prep
  • Wed: Crossover intro (advanced option), endurance + control drills, stop review
  • Fri: Skills-in-motion challenge (turns + stops), showcase practice (combo #1 + #2)

Week 5 — Transitions (intro)

  • Mon: Transition prep (open hips/shoulders), stepping transitions (beginner-friendly)
  • Wed: Transition practice + balance stations, strength circuit, confidence laps
  • Fri: Transition games, obstacle course, rhythm combo #3 (simple)

Week 6 — Backwards Intro + Control

  • Mon: Backwards readiness check, backwards bubbles/scissors (optional), forward skills polish
  • Wed: Backwards control drills (optional), stop + turn combos, endurance intervals
  • Fri: No camp (Holiday closure — July 3)

Week 7 — Putting It Together

  • Mon: Skill routes (start, turn, stop, transition), clean technique
  • Wed: Stations day (stops/turns/transitions), strength circuit, mini-assessments
  • Fri: Full run-through games + showcase formation practice

Week 8 — Showcase + Celebration

  • Mon: Showcase routine build + confidence coaching, clean transitions between combos
  • Wed: Dress rehearsal (practice run), spotlight moments, teamwork + stage presence
  • Fri: Showcase + certificates + photos (family-friendly viewing)

Quick answers for parents.

Who is summer camp for?

Kids ages 7–14, especially beginners. We group by age (7–10 and 11–14) so every child gets the right pace and challenge level.

Do kids need skating experience?

Not at all. The program is built for true beginners first, with progressions for returning kids who want to level up.

Are skates provided?

Skate rentals are available for $5/day or $75 for the full program. Protective gear rental is also available at $5/day (limited quantity).

What should my child bring?

Skates (or reserve rentals), water bottle, and socks. Optional: helmet, wrist guards, knee/elbow pads.

Can I get a refund?

Credit only up to 7 days before the start date. No refunds after camp begins. 1 makeup class is allowed during the program (space permitting).

How do I register?

Online booking required — first come, first served. Full payment is due before the first day of camp.
